WHAT WE DO

What is an Audiologist?

An audiologist is a university-trained health professional who assesses and helps manage hearing, communication, and balance concerns.

Audiologists work with people of all ages, from young children through to older adults. They perform detailed hearing assessments and provide clear explanations to help patients understand their hearing and communication abilities.

Audiologists assess a wide range of conditions, including hearing loss, tinnitus and balance-related concerns. They also provide guidance and, where appropriate, recommend further management or referral to other healthcare professionals such as general practitioners, ENT specialists, and speech pathologists.

In this practice, the focus is on comprehensive diagnostic assessment and reporting. This includes paediatric and adult hearing assessments. Reports are provided to the referring doctor to support coordinated care and any further management that may be required.

GP and ENT referred hearing assessment is $150 with an approximate rebate of $33 - $55.
